I have a tuner to recommend in Melbourne, if you're interested. He tuned my car.

Do tell?

Not entirely true there are quite a few Libs that have blown engines cause they are coming out of the factory too lean like mine for instance the AFR was running at 14.9 from memory when it should be in the 11s

yep , big improvement ftw !

Did you get your stock maps back (on dish or flash drive) ??
AFRS ?

nope , why bother ? it drives better now :) didnt ask for the AFR info as its pretty useless to me , but id say it would be mid 11s knowing Pauls last tune for me.
I would suggest it's more like 30Kw actual increase

maybe ,fair call considering 4th gear ratios but who really knows - the dyno print is there and I know it feels much better to boost , feeling good by 2500rpm and pulls harder through the range. the difference in gain from STi to Pulse tunes is evident there .

True, there are some in that boat (know of two cases in Bris that were too lean from stock) - always good piece of mind to have it checked on a Dyno

thats cool , no offence taken :) i can appreciate the finer details also but was more interested in getting the keys and driving rather than quizzing Pauls tune , he`s a busy guy and knows what he`s doing so I`m happy with the basic printout :)

thanks , its completely OEM "tuned by STi" .

It says fairly good thing for the low backpressure STI twin mufflers IMO :)

I would like to confirm the ratios for an 08 6sp and also the rear diff type if anyone can tell me ?

Not having an MY08 I cant tell you what ratios are but I can tell the sti twin mufflers are not low packpressure. Get under the car and have a look at them and you will start to get the picture. They do however look good at the tips :D

nice , thanks Mark ;) so 4th gear is a touch under 1:1 (except the auto which is perfect 1:1 ) however 5th gear is a touch over , hence the power runs in 4th gear give a slightly more positive figure. Unsure how to work out the difference tho` , I expect a more realistic 170-175awkw for a true 1:1 dyno run.

GTSPEC STI , despite appearances I think the evidence supports they are indeed low backpressure , as advertised IMO.
no doubt they are somewhat restrictive when chasing BIG numbers but in comparison to standard GT mufflers they are low backpressure for all intensive purposes. I assume these are not the same considering the price :)
Id say the Dump pipe is still the biggest restriction .
