Found this site the other day. Has some very useful downloads for the TomTom Navigation devices including the location of the Subaru dealers.

I am currently travelling up the coast the speed camera files come in useful and so far seem pretty accurate.

There is a program you can get to change to the different formats is there not????

It's a PN (personal navigation) proggy which can be hacked for use with a PC.

Basically I'm building a carpc which will replace the mcintosh.

Once I complete it I will post some pix.

OK, basically think of a PC, can be lappy or a miniITX board which vary in size from 17cm by 17cm or an EPIA board at 12cm by 12cm.

GPS receivers can come in USB or serial format. So u just point your navigation software to this port and your off.

Be warned it's addictive!

By building this type of system, you can have a set up something like this;

>Touchscreen 7 inch screen will fit where the mcintosh stereo is located.
>Play mp3, wma, avi, basically everything u do with a PC now
>Engine real time management
>Reverse/front Camera
>Wifi for internet.
>GPS for sat nav
>Bluetooth for handsfree phone etc.

There are heaps of pro's and con's with building a PC for the car!
