Great shots mate, amazing for a beginer, muck around with the camera, and you'll get the hang of it
and about the tripod, check out some shops and maybe you'd be able to pick up a floor model in good condition for cheap, thats what my brother did

how many mega pixels is the d90?
how much did you pick it up for if you dont mind me asking?

thanks mate! thanks for the tip!! the D90 is 12.1 MP, i think i paid about 1600 or 1700 for the twin lens kit, VR18-55 and VR55-200 lenses, in january, it was 1900 but i bought some other gear for it at the same tine, and i got the floor stock as they had no others in stock. initially they werent gonna give it to me that cheap, but tellin em im not payin that much for floor stock and walkin away they soon knocked a considerable amount off!! just needed to be firm and persistant!! (haha suckers!!!)

wow, thats a great price you got it for, my brother picked up the d90 just last year for 1400 thats a 10.2mp with similar lenses...
practice makes perfect, and mucking around makes even better
got a mate who charges $250 for a shoot, and not once has he done any course for photography

Hi Matt, I agree with SX74SI, this red is a great colour, and your camera shows it off very well...My brother has also just purchased a D90 and loves it. I have had a D80 for around a year now and would love to upgrade, but unfortunately it is way down my priority list at the moment...
