Sounds good.

But i will not be able to attend as my car will not be ready.

I think less is better like the other track day.

Hi All

Really need to get more deposits through so I can pay Wakefield the deposit. Ideally, to keep costs to a good level, we need to have at least 15 peple attending... I've PM'd forum members who have I have not received any deposits from as yet. Please check the first page for all the details etc.

As I know & can appreciate that costs play a significant role in events such as this. I have given some figures based on the number of attendees below:

10 = $440 + Wakefield License ($50)

15 = $294 + Wakefield License ($50)

20 = $248 + Wakefield License ($50)

25 = $198 + Wakefield License ($50)

30 = $165 + Wakefield License ($50)

35 = $142 + Wakefield License ($50)

There seems to be some mixed feelings about some of the optional extras that we can take advantage of (IE - Timing & driving instrutor). I'm going to leave these as optionals & for people who do not wish to have them, please make yourself known & the costs (If viable) will be divided between the people that do want them - To keep things nice & fair to all involved :D

Below are the costs for these optional extras (Total costs):

Timing:

$585 (For up to 25 cars)
$620 (For up to 35 cars)

Driving Instructor:

$550

As we have a fair amount of time before the day, we can obviously sort out who does & doesn't want to take advantage of these things.

Cheers
Matt

Matt

Doing a great job mate .. trust me it's not easy to organizing something like this.

Last time when LOUEY organized the track day he had 20 people going to turn up but on the day ... only ... 15 turn up i think ... but he still charge everyone $220 as per the original price he quoted. Few of us chip in extra to cover the lost ...

So just careful not to book the track till u get full confirmation from people ... otherwise can cost $$$$$

anyway still trying hard to get a day off if i can get it off closer to the date and there is a spot and my car is ready then i'll join u guys if not i'll drive down to take some photos ... see how i go !!

Thanks Leo :D

My plan is to keep the costs fair for everyone involved. I personally don't think it is fair for anyone to have to pay more then others when they are getting the exact same product (So to speak).

I could just set a price, but then if there are less people I'd be out of pocket (Which I would obviously like to avoid :P ) & if there's more people, then I'll be seen as ripping everyone off & profitting... Either way, that's not what I want to happen.

Gents, need to get those deposits in... Wakefield needs to be paid :!: :P

If I can't get at least 15 people confirmed with deposits paid by early next week, I may have to scrap the day... Which I really really really don't want to happen. Will be a huge disappointment to those who have already paid their deposits & are all pumped up to get on the track.

That's why I posted up 2 dates originally :P But it is a bugger you can't make it mate...

It's just a shame that there is no perfect date / day to host an event like this.

Common guys! I thought there'd be more people pumped to take their Lib's out onto the track!?!

This day needs to happen :!: But sadly it can't without more support / interest.

Hi All

Thanks to all those that have paid their deposits :D Without a doubt, it's because of you guys that this track day will be happening :D

The deposit will be paid to Wakefield tomorrow morning :D

At this stage, I have removed anyone from the master list that was "TBC".

Just a bit of extra info for everyone... Spoke to Wakefield this morning to clear up a few things... If we choose to cancel the track day, it will have to be done by / before June 15th... Otherwise full charges for the track still stand.

As this is the case, I will need to collect the funds from the confirmed people by the above date :)

As there is no real numbers limit etc, anyone who does wish to come along may still do so :D - The more the merrier after all :D... So if you free & keen, please don't be affraid to come along & have some fun 8)

As this will make it cheaper for everyone involved I will ensure any extra money paid will be refunded :D

As is stands, pricing based on 14 people is as follows (Please see one of my previous posts for a numbers price list / guide):

$315 + Wakefield License ($50)

Optionals (For those that are interested):

Timing = $585 (Total cost)

Instructor = $350 (Total cost)

In regards to the instructor, I now have a contact (Via the VW Forum I'm part of) of a gentleman that happens to run track days for companies such as (Dare I say it)... MRT... He has specified he will be more then happy to look after our day for $350 insted of the usual $550 :D So a bit of a bonus for those that are keen on it.

Looking forward to the track day & fingers crossed we get a few more Lib drivers keen to come along :D

Cheers
Matt
