Actually Adam try the placebo effect.

Tell the missus that you're going to be in the garage for a while changing the zorst back to original for her. Get in the garage, bang and crash around every now and again while you're detailing your car and after a few hours, come in with dirty hands telling her that's done. Chuck her the keys and tell her to go for a drive...

Well my last g/friend did... But I can't put a trick past my wife! She loves cars as much as I do... And after years of marriage, she knows me far to well to even try doing something without her noticing...

But hey, can't hurt to try Adam! What's the worst you'll get out of it? A clean car and dirty look... Which could turn into something else!!

I may be calling on Noozal's service soon enough. Shelf is starting to rattle like it's got Parkinson's.

Hi Adam, having held off doing this for the same reason, a few weeks ago I took a deep breath and got a pack of deadener and went at it. The look on the wifes face when I came into the house with the rer seat was priceless!

The actuall removal of the rear seat was so very easy and painless. As you'll see from the link to the manual above, the bottom seat just pops off and the rear is just 2 or 3 bolts. I guarantee you'll have it out in under 5 min's.

FYI - I did not bother to remove the centre seat belt when removing the back of the rear seat, just slid the seat out and back in under the belt.

I should have taken a few pic's...but it was really so easy I did not think anyone would need/want them.

Now for me, as I wanted to soundproof the rear parcel shelf, getting the rear parcel shelf out took a bit longer as it required removal of some trim, but again, using the manual it was all straight forward.

Cheers,
Andrew

Reversing camera, "road kill" sound deadener in all doors and parcel shelf. Whiteline sway bars (front and rear).
Dyno Tune by Vin @ Docklands STi +10-12KW and much better response. Got a 3.0R? Do it now.
