reversing sensors - MY07 Liberty 3.0R

Hi,
I am in the process of getting a MY07 Liberty 3.0R and I am considering getting reversing sensor's for the car but not sure who to call. I would like to get the sensors that use same paint colour as the car so they are less seen like what you would see on a bmw. Has anybody got a recommendation on who I should call (Sydney area) about reversing sensors ??

the sensors come in the same colour as the car ... well pretty much teh same

Yeah thats often the case. They always colour code it.

They are shit and annoying and everyone t work thinks the same.

Spend the money on a driving lesson, and don't rely on the little beeeeps

I don't see the point to the sensor type reversing aides. As said before they don't work well and you'd probably get the same amount of knocks as you would if you relied on your judgement(except for the pple that really can't drive ).

If youre serious about reversing help - get the camera and screen type ones.

Mate you are true re our reverse sensors though when you look at the way our vehicles are treated do you really expect them to work anyway.

I am thinking about getting them on the forester, though would prefer the same sort we have at work.

I think the brand is called smart park. Does anyone know where these can be fitted from, considering these appear to be std aftermarket equipment for Mazda, Ford, Holden and I have seen so Subies with them fitted to the rear.

Any ideas people ?

Had my sensors delaer fitted, they are colour coded. Personally I would never have a car again without them. \

You still need to take care and after all they are just there to assist.

Got my sensors from the dealer, $500 fitted and painted. I thought they come with visual indication of the distance between the sensors and the object behind the car.

My sensors beeps like crazy when the rear bumper is about 50 cm away from anything. They are definitely annoying and not very accurate, but i do rely on them for assistance. It is a bit difficult to judge how much space i have left with the wagon.

Mine actuallly have a thing on th dash that displays which sensor is being activated and the actual distance from the object from 1.5 down to 0.1 of a metre.

I wish the old coot in the magna that reveresed into me yesterday had them.

I was sitting in my car on the phone, this old fella parked infront of me and run his towbar into my front bumper. Only a small scratch is visible, but it still pissed me off.

They come in handy when you get home pissed and have to try to park while talking on the phone.

I was blessed with eyes and depth perception...

Ha ha, no Ric... I think the same bastid parked in front of me the other day too as I'm now sporting a nice hole in the new front bumper

I always laugh when I see a car with parking sensors that has a nice pole indent in the back... As Cagie said, if you can't drive to begin with, some sensors aren't going to save you.
