I received a message from Sean re the Ecutek patch and I quote;

"Not really sure that the other dealers are doing much with the upgrade to the AF learning issues or if they are even fully aware of this!"

So maybe it's not being done elsewhere but I can't say this with absolute certainty.

I also asked what contributed mostly to the awesome improvement of the car and he said;

"the TMIC is the biggest part of the difference, plus I have found a few extra things along the way in the tune that I have included for you…"

The car continues to feel strong even in our current 44+ deg weather.

On a separate matter, I had wondered about the speedo inaccuracy and the odometer.

It's well documented the speedo is out almost 10% but over the cruise I compared the odometer to my sat nav and found the odometer over reads almost 2% greater than the sat nav. This is more acceptable and hopefully means the fuel economy gauge is reasonable accurate.

Keep in mind that you should only compare odometer/speedo with satnav when you are travelling on a flat, level road. Once the road starts rising and falling, the satnav will read less than the speedo and odometer. This is a satnav error and not a speedo/odometer error. It can even reach 5% on some steep slopes

OK, I had assumed it used its internal maps to calculate the distance. I'll certainly try again on a flat run.

If a manual - then I don't know why it's in third either :P power output shouldn't change but torque will.

hey fellas

might know why they don't do it in the top gear
i've heard dynos aren't too stable and aren't really designed to be run past 150kmph or so, since there is so much rotation in the rotors it can come off quite easily or cause damage to it.

cheers

It's certainly an awesome sight and sound with your car on the dyno at full noise. They tie it down very well but you appreciate how much energy is being produced as it hits full power.
