I bet. If it's anywhere near as expensive as their options lists are it'd be bloody scary. Probably better off just buying the performance model or a machine off the likes of Brabus

LOL! I think that's fair! :D One mod for me, one mod for you! That's better than bickering and ending up in the doghouse. :P

Yep, mod scene is very much like their options list. Lots of 0's involved.

Put it this way, to get it to ~150kW ATW, you're looking at around $20K just on the basic turbo/exhaust/intake upgrade, with a minor FMIC upgrade (they have a small FMIC to start with).

Add to that some safety aspects like brakes and some minor suspension upgrades (mostly springs) and you're not much short of $25-30K.

We seriously considered an RS4 for a while but just couldn't justify the cash when we sat in it and thought "This is a house price in reality". Even the S6 we considered seemed a bit too much, mind u, V10 was REALLY compelling argument. But 5km/l fuel economy was a staggering hurdle. My income just isn't at the point where I say 'I don't care' yet.

** UPDATE AS OF WEDNESDAY APRIL 1ST **

Unfortunately the first part of this week was taken up by the dump pipes, but Phat will now be working on making mufflers Thursday and Friday this week. He's a machine and a freak making all of these himself! But he's a very stringent person, and the only work he's happy with and can sign off on is his own work.

Hopefully we will have 5-10 sets by the weekend.

For all those who are interstate, it will be much cheaper to have a single point of delivery. So each state will have a contact person which the mufflers, centre pipes and dump pipes will be sent to, and then everyone can go collect from that person (excluding Woodduck who lives in whoop whoop Mildura).

QLD has a person already, and I will contact people for VIC, WA. For people in ACT, you guys just wanna drive up?

Also, for people who have joined the sway bar group buy and want the sways to be shipped along with the mufflers, centres, etc. please let Trieu know so he can have Phat include it in that state's shipment.

Both which translates to very good quality products produced. His attention to detail must be commended and sounds like the receivers have been duly rewarded. :)

Had the pleasure of watching the phat in action last night working on the cans. He was not happy until both sides were spot on, much to the delight of one of the workers who was stuck there long after the rest had left.

OK guys, in response to Arith's request, who in the list on page 1 is in Vic and wants to take delivery? I'm down towards Frankston / SE 'burbs... Happy to take delivery if all of the Vic people are out SE. If not, who is central?

Thanks for volunteering for VIC, Steve! We just need a WA and ACT contact and we're good to go! Did the ACT folks just wanna drive up to collect?

In any case, it's getting close so I guess we better decide what you guys want to do. Dump pipes may be ready as early as late next week, mufflers about 1-2 weeks, and centre pipes about 2 weeks. Do you wait for everything all at once or get the mufflers first?
