Small GB for Jimmy S and I. As title suggest two sets of front and rear springs to suit MY07 Sedan. Getting price and delivery from Nengun but any other supplier suggestions will be appreciated.

I'm thinking new is a safer bet with springs. Plus 1 set will only do the half of each car!? ;)

Is there much of a difference between buying new and used? Except the fact that the springs may be a little bit more 'settled' when you buy used?

I've just picked up a set, should be receiving them either tomorrow or day after.

Also if you look on the nengun website for the stechs.. It says

Subaru - Legacy - BL5 - Soft - F:5.3 R:7.2 (kg/mm)

soft? Does this mean you can get different levels? Or is it just so the buyer knows just how harsh they roughly are?

Also the price of $283 seems really really cheap.. :S Wasn't PHAT selling these at like.. $500 new?

*EDIT* ahh I guess the rest of the money goes to the shipping cost.

yes Nengun want $580 delivered Perth. Troy has one set of H&R's for about the same price. There are no Whiteline's available anymore. Perfect Run, Greenline still to get back to me.

May just bite the bullet and go coilovers in the end.

Back on the topic, I compared these with sti pinks (thanks to blacknwhite), they a little firmer, they drop the car (sedan) about 25mm all round. They feel alot better then the sti pinks, you don't get the floating around corners feeling with the s techs...

Hope this helps

soft?

Not really. Medium. To put it in perspective:

Spring Front / Rear
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S.Tech 5.3 7.2
High.Tech 4.7 6.5
STi 3.9 6.0
Eibach 4.2 6.1
As you can see the STi springs are the softest of the bunch and the weakest link.
Does this mean you can get different levels? Or is it just so the buyer knows just how harsh they roughly are?
Naw man, can't get different levels. Those numbers are just to let the buyer know what firmness they're at. However Teins have other line-ups for people wanting softer springs (High.Tech).
Also the price of $283 seems really really cheap.. :S Wasn't PHAT selling these at like.. $500 new?
What website were you looking at? That sounds like $283 USD, not $283 AUD. Even when the Aussie dollar was at its strongest, you couldn't get it at $283 AUD landed. $500 AUD sounds about right considering the weak dollar. When converting Yen to AUD, it comes out to $425 AUD for just the springs. Have to factor in shipping cost after that. I'm sure anything more than $5 AUD for shipping would turn you away. :P
