Introducing myself... Fun!

Postby Jimmy S » Mon Mar 16, 2009 4:09 pm

Hi Guys,

Thought I should start a thread introducing myself!

Have been on this site for a few weeks now doing a little research and getting back into the Liberty frame of mind! ;)

I have previously owned a 94 WRX Wagon and then an 01 Liberty B4 Sedan followed by an 05 WRX Club Spec 8 Sedan which I have just sold to purchase a 2007 Liberty GT Spec B which I picked up today!

Pictures to come once I give her a bit of a wash! :D

Pretty happy with her so far, although it seems to have a small issue with road noise/vibration which the previous owner attributed to the tyres fitted. I will slap on my wheels from the WRX soon to confirm that is the issue, but I have a sneaking feeling it may be something more mechanical than just the tyres.

Has anyone come accross any similar issues?

Also, the Mcintosh 6 stacker, does it prefer certain format/brands of disc? It does accept MP3 CD's right?

Anyway... Should have my plates fitted soon [JIMMY S], so I'm sure I'll see you all around Perth!

Cheers,

Jimmy

Heheh... Cheers guys!

She is a clean sheet, for now! ;)

And well spotted Dave... It has a custom 2.5" twin system from the cat back, although it is a bit loud and "angry" sounding for me to be honest!

I am thinking I should lob on a Tuned By STi cat-back if I can find one, for now at least!

Anyone got one they don't want anymore?

Welcome.

Is that a reverse cam I see in the bumper?

As to your query, the Macs play MP3s/WMAs off any type of CDs.

Cheers

Indeed... a well trained eye it would appear!!

It does have a Subaru Factory fitted reversing camera, although, I am not too impressed with the finish of the camera to be honest! I would have thought it could at least be colour coded to the bumper?

All sweet with the Audio system, I slapped one of my MP3 CD's in and she played straight away! Very happy with it! :D

Welcome Jimmy! Very nice car indeed! I was going to say how clean it was until I noticed the quad tips! Ain't stock no more! :P

Wow, a few more Jim's on the forum and we can form Team Jim, although it will in no way rival Team Tony, Team Matt, or Team Michael.

Jimmy S wrote:I am thinking I should lob on a Tuned By STi cat-back if I can find one, for now at least!

Don't bother. The only difference between that and a complete stock exhaust are the quad tips. Otherwise an STi centre pipe and mufflers are the same as stock. You're better off just converting your stock mufflers to a quad tip.

Anyone got one they don't want anymore?

There's a group buy for mufflers going around so there should be several systems on the market soon.
