ING's Legacy B4 Applied-D Bodykit on MY05.

Postby HellKnight » Fri Mar 06, 2009 12:49 pm

Hey guys,

Question: Anyone here know what needs to be replaced/done to fix an Applied-D kit on an MY05 GT?

Been searching the internet for a couple of days now and haven't found anything on this except for a brief comment or two on this very forum.
I've contacted Ings and got this reply:

"Dear Mr. Lau,

Thank you very much for your interest in our products and inquiry.

I am afraid to say that we can not advice you what you would need for modification due to we’ve never challenged such a project. We would definitely would like to know if you were able to make it possible.

Sorry we couldn’t help you.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Best Regards

KJ Takahashi
President
ings (USA), Inc."

Seeing as it maybe a very first, I would probably be going around the Perth area searching for someone that is willing to do this conversion. If anyone has any advice or knows people around here please let me know.

Thanks,

-Martin.

afaik, applied d is the MY07 onwards.bascially what you need is the exterior of the MY07. i.e bonnet, fenders, headlights, tailights. The fornt bumper and rear bumper will be included in the ings kit.
correct me if im wrong.

To change put a facelift body kit on a pre-facelift car you shouldn't need a new bonnet (unless you wanted a steel one :D )

You should need for the front:
-Lights
-bumper
-fenders/guards
Rear:
-bumper
-tailights
-brackets for the bumper

Anyone know what prices I should be looking at for these items? That way I can find some decent deals and such.

Thanks,

-Martin.

if your talking about the sedans, the rears are just pods that are attached to your rear bar, so no mods to the rear would be necessary..

Thanks for the feedback. After a little more research and talks with a couple of guys here on the forum, seems like the conversion isn't worth the outcome.

If anyone is wondering, Phat sells the body kits and you are able to contact him if you happen to want one.

As for me, i'll be trying to get the A-C kit on the car within a couple of months.
