i wish it was, that could be fixed under warranty, but its the crap soft springs.......... btw i did get carried away about bouncing for a few km's...... maybe meters, but it was enough to get the car very unsettled, unlike fatfrogs car which was solid around all the bends..... maybe cause of the extra weight, cause it was a barge......i mean wagon.....

soft springs won't really cause it to bounce around a lot after the bump. Sure, the suspension will travel more and probably quicker too but adequate damping will still return the car to equilibrium without overshooting.

Soft damping however will cause it to bounce around after a big hit. An easy test is to push the corner of the car up and down a few times and see if it returns to rest immediately without any further bouncing. If it even bounces once your dampers are on the way out.

An easy check for soft springs is that they will cause the car to sit lower than usual (for those springs) at rest

tony you need too factor in the road conditions i was driving on....... big bumps +many small bumps+ spirited driving = alot of bouncing...

yeah, I know the roads  Done 'em many times :D

If it's just feeling harsh over bumps it could be a number of things - soft springs and/or soft dampers (it'll be crashing through to the bump stops on bigger hits) or hard springs and/or stiff damper (it'll be harsh and jiggly)

<edit> just read your comment in the suspension section and see you were meaning your were bottoming out. In that case soft springs will definitely be a factor. The Pinks also start the damper lower in its stroke so it has less time to try to control the motion (slow the compression down) - in fact any shorter spring will bring that problem. A progressive rate spring can help the damper a little towards the end of the compression stroke. It will work against the rebound damping of the damper once the suspension has finished compressing however but I'm not sure that it would be as much of a concern as the thing bottoming out </edit>

If the thing feels uncontrolled over bumps, I wouldn't be ruling out the shocks though. It is the shocks afterall which do all of the suspension motion control. The springs serve to suspend the car (hopefully in the middle of the damper stroke when at rest) in order to allow the suspension to compress when needed otherwise the car would settle to its bump stops (even with the stiffest damping)
