sti skirt lip?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

I like the idea of the rubber lip for protection, mine didnt come with one :(
BUT its gonna make it even lower, my lip got a little intimate with the ROAD today  scared it'll make more contact with the rubber. And my car isn't even that low.....bit lower than GT though not much.
How are you guys finding the lip with the 07's?

^^^^^^^^

Thank you Phat GT, does look good and very similar to the STi one. The previous Liberal lip looked thinner whereas this latest version looks prone to scrapping on a lowered car.

I think I'll wait until I've lowered the car and see just how much clearance I've got. I don't want to create headaches for myself.

Thanks again for your investigations.

Michael.

No issues as yet, but I am being careful. I beleive your car sits 15mm lower than ours (standard), so with the rubber section it would be the same.

The STi lips don't come with the rubber strip, its a separate piece.

"yes" it does, but the rubber folds back and protects the lip..

My car is lowered 30mm upfront and have to admit it doesn't scrub that much. I put the rubber strip on, to enhance the visual appearance..

It stops the STi lip getting scratched and it makes the STi lip look alot more aggressive as it sits about 15mmlower.

Some pics to justify please 3rspecb!
Phil.

sorry, don't have any pics on this laptop.

does anyone know how the lip skirt attaches to the lip. is there any more drilling into the lip involved, hope there isn't too much  . well i'm certainly interested in getting one anyway. how many others want one so that we can place an order with PHATGT.

From memory (yseterday) on my 06 Wagon. Three of the existing body panel clips are reused.

Two screws with the metal inserts are used at the wheel arch ends.

Approx. 8-10 new holes have to be drilled along the bottom.

The rubber skirt lip has double sided tape to attach it to the STi lip. Once in place then you use lots of little screws to secure the rubber skirt lip to the STi lip.
