Just a quick question, sort of in regard to this...

Is it possibe to get the lovely nice shiny stainless steel mufflers ceramic coated/painted in black... (not the tips though!)
I know, I know, I just don't like shiny things

Probably should have asked the q elsewhere if it's even possible but I'm sure someone will say!

Cheers,
Matt.

Most likely not. Any sort of changes or additions during production will delay things. So it's best just to get everything produced, and then you can do whatever you like with the mufflers once you have them. But painting black can easily be done by you or the muffler shop. :P

** UPDATE **

All, I just spoke with Phat, and he wants to make sure it will fit all Libertys across the range, especially those who are interstate. So, he needs a volunteer who has:

- MY07+ onward with the 2.5 turbo
- A stock exhaust setup
- Can spare the car for half a day (afternoon on weekdays or on a Saturday)

Please PM me if you're interested!

If you are going to paint them black, just make sure they are stone cold when you do so or the paint will bubble. I would definitely paint them black.

Also for the test fitting, remember that wagons have superior bumpers that require longer exhaust tips than the sedan bumper with fake vents.

I didn't check to see if you had any wagons in the group buy, but better to sort that before shipping something to the other side of the country.

No, no - def don't want to hold anything up! Was thinking after the fact - will look into it then but think black might look the goods! :)

Umm, let's put you down as Plan B.

I'm hoping someone else could step up and do it on an afternoon during a weekday this week instead. Otherwise it'll be another 4 agonizing days of waiting for all of us. I want production to start sooner! :good:
