Advice on lowering My04 Lib Gt Wag.

hi everyone,

my liberty gt wagon looks like it has an invisible trailer hitched to the back of it! yep the front sits high with the rear sitting low. i want to even it out with a suspension upgrade. i want to go a bit lower also but not too low because i have one of those driveways. any advice would be great, if anyone can give me any brand/part no. of springs that would be great also.

That lower rear is just the standard Liberty setup. To even the front and rears the best bet is height adjustable (not just preload adjustment - shock length adjustment) shocks - coilovers.

Tiens are probably the best you can buy within reason though they are still exxy these days with the dodgy Aus dollar (though brands like Ohlins make the Tiens look cheap). If you aren't going to be heading into the hills and are just going to wander around the suburbs however there are some cheaper options around.

G4 coilovers? Anyone have any experience with them?

They both start off asking about G4 coilovers but degenerate (as we often do ) into suspension and coilovers in general. Some good info in there IMO

if you dont want to go to low, and adjustability isnt an issue, just grab some whiteline low springs, thats what i have, doesnt change the back height to mutch (that i noticed) but levels out the front nicely.

i want to go lower now tho so im gonna switch out to coilovers soon enough.. but for the price difference (about $1000 between springs and the cheapest coilovers you can get) you cant go wrong with springs.

If ur going to lower it then I would consider getting the struts replaced at the same time. The OEM struts are terrible and putting any lowering spring on them just upsets the cars balance even further never mind the comfort level.

If you want to keep the OEM struts then I would consider putting a 10mm plate in between the top of the strut and where it mounts to the car. Then getting a spring for the front that drops it no more than 15mm.

Could also be worth checking if your rear springs have sagged out of limits, only going by your sig but it is an 04 model??
