Xenon Lights - MY07

Postby grunta007 » Thu Jan 04, 2007 8:16 pm

Hi,
I have read somewhere that the Bi-Xenon Headlights fitted to the MY07 Liberty range is only a low-beam units, does this mean you don't get the blue tinge from the units or that there is no much more improvement over the standard headlights ??

i think the bi-xenons are just on the normal beam. they are pretty bright already and are more of a pure white colour than a blue tinge. i think that they are actually pointed too low but my experience with them is that if you point them any higher they will blind the oncoming motorists. hope this helps you out.

cheers Damian

Hey Damian.

Had the same feeling about the low beams as you.

Driving back up the Hume freeway last night and low beam was reaching barely 25m in fromt of the car. Bright and clear immediately in front of the car, but bugger all light thrown further down the road beyond the edge of the beam.

Not a nice feeling at 110km/h ++.

We were pretty loaded up and they're meant to be self-adjusting, so maybe something's not quite right.

High beams were fine. Lotsa light thrown well down the road.

Anyone else with an MY07 had a similar experience?

Yeah not a big fan when i first went for a run thru wisemans at night doing around 140+ around bends. Cant see much in front. Better you have sum1 in front of u drive wif ur hi beams.

But thats the correct "Australian" settings for HID they say.

Oh great. One step forward, 2 steps back. Still I suppose they look pretty when people see you coming towards them. :twisted:
