ABS Warning light

Postby sogg » Thu May 22, 2008 10:11 pm

Hey guys,
Just went for a quick to get something from the shop, when i was slowing down to turn into my street the ABS warning light came on and remained on. So i stoped turned the car off, the turned it on again and the light still stayed on. Drove abit down the street and the light went off again and didnt come back on??? What does this mean?

Its a 2007 MY08 GT SPEC B auto with 15000ks on it.

Thanks for the help!

First I'd check your brake fluid level.
If that's fine, better call into a Subaru dealer, and ask them to read out the error codes.

I have the same problem in my stock MY08 GT TBSTi, 3.8k kms on the clock.

When I drive the car cold there is a soft clicking noise coming from driver's side front that clicks faster as i accelerate. After a few minutes of this the noise goes away but then the ABS light comes on.

Brake fluid is fine. Will get it checked at the 5000km service as it doesnt seem to be affecting normal braking.

Also check your connections and if anything under the seat.

Mine was going on, then when I switched off the engine it would go off, then randomly (not on accc or braking or bumps) switch back on. It was giving me the shieeeets cos I couldnt work out why.

In the end I had my airbag computer reset by subaru and is fine so far.
