I was coming over a crest 10-15kms quicker then speed limit when I realised the road suddenly turned left but couldn't pull her up in time. I went over the curb, through the bushes and over two cars whilst taking out half the shed. The house level was below the road which explains why I ended up ontop of the cars. The worst part was not a single airbag went off which probably could have prevented some of my injuries. My main aim now is to obviously get better then to salvage what I can as the new motor is now being built after I got hold of the dual avcs cams

the xtra 200kw will do it but some xtra speed can which I can easily do now if I put my foot down will do as well. Any person car can be a weapon if we let them it just comes down to how we drive them.Accidents happen and it could have been worse but I was lucky others unfortunately arent. When the cars finished I'll leave it strickly for the track.

The ball is rolling again after a 15 month lay off, today I was at Sand J Automotive were the engine was removed for the commencement of repair work. From here I will be removing all of the interior from the car to allow work on the roof. If anyone is interested I'll be selling the leather interior along with the MacIntosh system and climate control. After the car has been repaired it will be fitted with a chrome moly roll cage curtesy of Walker Chasis. Once fitted its then back to S and J for some major major work.






For those who dont know this is the airbag sensor which didnt get touched hence why the airbags didn't go off.

And to clear some of those stories up about the car growing wings and flying over sheds and clearing cars here is a picture of the shed,although this is the new shed which is now bigger courtesy of my insurance. This is so that some big mouth in Queensland who thought he knew what happened can get an idea of what really happened. The rectangle is were I hit the shed

This is the Tilton pedal kit which removes the brake booster from the engine allowing for more room for the bigger turbo. I will also be removing the ABS and fitting up Brake Proportioning Valve.

This is kind of what it might look like but with leather Recaros and a cage around them. The car will only be used for track and hillclimbes and hopefully 1/4 mile if Adelaide ever gets a drag strip.

I second your comments that the airbags did not deploy since your photos show the chassis rails to be intact and the B pillars also. The sensors work based on rate of deceleration and it looks like the center support absorbed in the impact along with panels and bumper cover. An airbag going off when not required is more likely to cause injury than help you.

Now you're building a dedicated track car you could put a nice steering wheel on without an airbag since you won't need one after fitting a harness anyway. Suggest to keep the curtain ones though.

Unfortunately there wont be any airbags or curtains as they wont be able to deploy properly due to the roll cage.

Ah sorry I missed that bit about the cage; I thought you were just fitting a crossbar for the harness points I'm sure that will afford more protection than airbags anyway.
