Which gen4 turbo is the best?

Postby sooobi » Mon Dec 08, 2008 11:21 am

Hey guys, I wonder what your opinions, given the current climate (with a lot of Gen 4's now under $30k)...

Would the 2.0 or 2.5 litre turbo cars be better value right now?

I've heard a lot being said about the 2.0t revving more freely and the 2.5t having more emissions control? Is this true?

Based purely on price vs performance, 2.0t or 2.5t?

May as well use the poll while we're at it..

Depends on what you're after. I think it's easier to get more power out of the 2.5T.
It also has rumble, to, if you're into that kinda thing :P

i say 2L only because of the bang for ya buck.
other wise resale & any mods would point towards the 2.5L

There's always one..

So if the price had little to do with it, 2.5 = win?

EJ25T is very nice to drive, but the EJ20T is sooo much more fun to drive IMO.

There's got to be a reason why they still run the EJ20T is Japan in their current cars + they still use it in rally cars (But I'm sure that's got something to do with their class etc).

yep the trademark scoobi rumble is there on the 2.5T... something to do with the even/uneven headers on the Lib 2.0T compared to the Lib 2.5T... just need to open up the exhaust to hear it

Is the 2lt turbo a twin scroll unit?

I'm pretty sure the 2.5T is not a twin scroll turbo. Twin scroll FTW.
