sprint booster FBW amplifier

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

The only way to achieve this is to tune the maps your ecu uses. Ecutek or Open Source tuning will net you a lot more improvement in performance than boost controllers or throttle boosters.

yep agreed, I would consider the sprintboostera interim solution prior to a tune. *ASG here I come*

Heh-heh. Some people just want a not so costly solution at having more fun. Sure, more power would be nice, but sometimes you just wanna have fun on the streets and a more responsive throttle can provide that on a budget.

open source flash tune aint that expensive Jim, $990 here in Perth and think its around that number in Sydney from memory. Piece of mind thru safe tuning always beat "I just want to have some fun with my $50K plus car" I reckon. :D

They work.

and as I've mentioned before throttle amplifiers Vs ECU is different,

Sprintbooster is good, many use it.
A number of other companies have caught on and have developed adjustable throttle controllers, Blitz/Pivot/Prova are just to name a few.
If you want one then suggest to get a adjustable one for versatility.

It's well over $1k here in Sydney, which is why picking up a locally made FBW controller or a used one is good value. But I don't see why a throttle amp would damage the engine in any way as you're not increasing any power in an unsafe manner, just boosting quicker response.

Not everyone requires a tune to get what they want, and not every mod requires a tune afterwards. Just my opinion as everyone is free to tune to their heart's content. :D

Jim you are most likely right. Playing with boost and throttle will likely not result in blowing your engine but if you dont see why this is possbile then there's probably no point in debating the subject further. All I am suggesting is that when you start adding engine mods (cai, tmic, tbe , etc) you automatically starting asking the ecu to learn and fix or retard performance.

At the end of the day you have to pay to play but why not give yourself the best opportunity for maximising your mod dollars to increase power.

Side note: turbocharged subaru's are having a bad run with engine internals here in WA but ecu tweaks are being to used by Subaru to try to reduce the potential for pinging, piston/seat damange. Subaru are calling it the "landring fix".
