What would my car be worth?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

What would my car be worth?

Postby tangcla » Sun Nov 23, 2008 7:05 pm

... just a random thought.

No, not gonna get the Maserati - got something else planned, as a weekend car instead...

... and if I part it out, what would my goodies be worth?

your goodies? In your position I wouldn't be happy with any less than 50% of the original prices

Clarence you've done way too much to your car for me to give an estimate off the bat as a whole package, but stock probably mid 20's..

Darn, only mid 20s? Can't believe how much they've dropped in value, I think it's better if I just hold onto the car anyway. :P keep it as a 'daily' for when I need it.

I've got my eye on a 1980s Porsche 911 SC... fairly cheap, under $20K... something totally different (electric nothing, everything is raw) and since I don't need to drive on a daily basis, my Lib is just a weekend car for me anyway :P

P.S. Nice avatar Vina. 800kb of bandwidth though! haha

Mid to High 20's

ooo vintage Porsche, unique but i'd imagine maintenance costs would be a bitch! But I guess since it won't be a daily thats not very important.

LOL yeh, should I change it?

Nah don't change it, it's in my cache now, it's ok

Maintenance won't be too bad, the engine in the 1980 model is near bulletproof from what I am told. The one I am looking at, engine and gearbox is in good condition. Body-wise, it's not the best, but it's not bad either.

... definitely think parting out the car would be best :P will need to have a think about this one! Or maybe I should sell off all my goodies, and sell my mum's Accord Euro instead.

1980s 911? How are your reflexes? those things were reputed to swap ends quicker than a menopausal woman changes her mood

Nice analogy :D
The one I'm looking at, it's got a fibreglass rear bar and I've been told (the owner also owns a 930 Porsche 911 Turbo) that it helps to even the weight bias a lot.

Gotta love hanging around exotic car enthuasiasts ;)

Hey Clarence, if you got 82K handy (i hope not lol) you could ditch the porsche and buy the Diamond Edition Lib :D Don't think you'd get bored with 1173 bits of bling!
