Salutations fellow liberty drivers,
May i commend you all on your choice of vehicle, Why did you not inform me earlier of the joys of driving a Liberty? Great little forum you guys have here i'm glad i found it, Its so good having people so well conected and passionate about the same thing in a forum usually people just throw egos at each other, you have 85 pages of bullshit that don't answer the poor ops question, my favorite quote "Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded" No offense intended if their is Handicapable people on this forum.

Previous car: 1998 Holden Bommodore Accliam, in Beige :( (at least the cops never bothered with me)

New car: 2008 MY09 Subaru Liberty Manual Heritage Wagon in the sexiest and most stylish tone of all BLACK!

Mods: Tinted windows :( ; hopefully more soon, please don't tell my girlfriend

Plans: my first and major upgrade is to eventually install a carputer with an OBDII system/ GPS and Phone integration however every mod I make to the car I want to be able to remove, My Mantra with the vehicle is to make every mod not only removable but also to make it appear to be factory installed/ perfectly integrated, Their is nothing i like less in the vehicular world then dodgily done modifications. Engine wise I will keep the same mantra, I am not the most car savy guy by any means and i'm hoping coming to club liberty some of the people around here will be able to advise me as to the mods worth doing :)

About me: My name is Jake i'm from Ryde in Sydney. I like to call myself a Cinematographer however their is not alot of work going on in the film industry at the moment so I spend alot more time earning shitty money as a camera technician for a Equipment rental house, Occasionally doing some freelance camera operating jobs. Lets just get this our of the way now, No i do not shoot porn....................................

........Unless it pays well :)

Looking forward to meeting up with some of you in the near future, Shouldn't be too hard it looks like alot of people are around Rosehill, East-wood Homebush sort of region no excuse to avoid those meets.

Cheers Jake

Welcome, Jake! Bad idea using your real first name if you're avoiding your girlfriend finding out what you're up to mod-wise. :D As long as she's not aware of liberty.asn.au, you should be ok.

But yeah, there are meets happening here and there so come out and get some ideas on what you'd like to do with your Lib. Though you'll have a hard time standing out with all the other black wagons around here. :P

LOL and you come from the world of Commodores, where people fit underbody neons and think it's fully sick to have the tubes fully visible

Welcome, looks like a nice upgrade you got there from the Berlina!

Not looking to stand out. Hence why i bought black. Stealth, subtlety, style and Sexiness.

I went and washed the car today to take pics, 10 minutes later it started raining. Nevermind i thought I will go into the city might check out the powerhouse museum with the kid then come back and rinse it. I parked under one of those Pollen dropping trees with a wet a car didn't I. My super shiny car is now not shiny and covered in a blanket of pollen. I guess i wont bother washing it when it is overcast from now on.
Maybe next weekend.

thanks for the welcome.
