According to NRMA reports it should be there already. B@stard greedy oil companies (note i said oil companies and not independent operators).

It will be nice to just fill her up and head out for some drive time though.

I dunno how the oil companies work out their pricing or how much percentage they take from say $1.50 per litre, but damn.... they must have been making a mint :!:

Petrol has already dropped to under $1.20p/L (91 RON) which has already been a massive saving.

I haven't looked too much into it, I also heard on the radio this morning that petrol prices should be coming down to $1.00p/L, but remember, the oil barrel price is quoted in USD. In the last 24 hours the AUD has dropped another 5%.

At the end of the day, that only pushes the petrol prices up. The barrel cost may be down 40% in USD, but our dollar is down about 45%!

Only thing that really gets up my nose is that only 30% of our oil is imported, but everything is costed on the imported price. I know it's ment to be a precaution for when our fuel reserves dry up, that way we don't get slugged with a massive price increase. But in the meantime, we, the little people, are paying more for our fuel & obviously someone is making some substantial profit out of it.

We had an avg of $1.21 yesterday in Melbourne metro, but I still don't get how this morning it's back to $1.29?! :) Govt should put an end to these cycles, honestly.. best and fairest price, that's it.

The story I was listening to on the radio this morning had the fellow saying that the drop in the dollar was included in the calculations and yes, the oil companies were raking in profits in the billions.

+1

But not until I get a service...

I wonder how the fuel companies are going to justify their usual high prices over the holiday period this year :P
