Gday all, thought i'd register. never new this liberty forum existed till i saw a link on ozliberty, but glad i found it
little bit about myself, names Jay Vidler. i live in Hamersley WA. Work fifo on the mines aa coded maintenance welder, boilermaker by trade. 23 years old, engaged soon to married, just bought first house.
I've had a few subies, first was an L series i had for a years and it ended up with a 4" lift, ej25, custom bull bar and roof cage, 27" muddies etc etc
then followed a 97 outback, only had that for 6 months
then had a 99 wrx with lots of mods and go fast bits, had that for about 12 months, changed box and diff from 3.54 to 4.11 for a bit more acceleration, was running forged internals with lumpy cams, vf39 and autronics ecu pumping out 20psi boost. never got round to taking it down the quarter but certainly was fast, still see it about now.
went from that to an 85 brumby targa top, pearl paint, i fitted a checkerplate hard cover and alloy roll bar with quad truck horns on the roof, made a custom endless air system from the air con compressor and receiver tank, had lots of plans for it but in the end didnt meet my long term plans so sold it
following that, flew to brisbane to buy a 95 gen 2 wagon, drove it back to perth, 3" lift, outback struts, king springs, 29" muddies, ej25t with forged internals mated to import 4.444 auto box, gen 3 legacy front seats, legacy rear garnish, custom roof cage, pearl blood orange paint.
sold that about 2 weeks ago coz me and the fiance bought a house so priorities changed
currently fixing/repairing a my02 B4 i bought about 18months ago from the insurance wholesalers. been doing nothing on it for ages but found some new motivation so getting stuck into it now, just bought new bumper/foggies/radiator etc today, still need a my02 bare front cut coz i put in a corner from a 99 gen 3 and i dont like having 2 different sides as the headlight surrounds are a wee bit different.
and hopefully once the B4 is finished, sell the mrs honda and buy a my09 forester XT coz they're wicked
so there's my subaru history etc over, im sure i'll find lots of usefull info on the forum
Cheers, Jay
