Woah... I just saw the speech given by Barack Obama and man, that is a good speech.

I know it ain't car related, but thought I'd post it up for any of you guys that are politically minded.

competing against...

the last thing the USA needed was another geriatric gun slinging war hero ..

I really do hope he makes a difference for the worlds sake.

Listening to the speech, (even though very scripted) all I could think was I was trying to imagine George Bush doing a speech that may inspire people like that :roll:

I for one am going to miss Lettermans Great Presidential Speeches segment ,
I really hope the guy is as good as the speech although I think he is overhyped. Lets face it though Krusty would do better than the clown they got now!

It was a massive win.

I think both candidates gave very good speeches.

Hope it helps bring some much needed stability to both usa and the global economy.

YTeah good win! defently USA needs it, if old mate got in with his gun happy little friend, America would of been dead an not leading the world.. China will rule the world if America goes down..!! An old mate Obama, well done to him, he will turn America to the good an hopefully not the bad! i wanted him to win.. they need to pull out from war! hopefully all global economy will go good now.. my only wish for Obama, is to bring the yen back up, so I can get my rims DAMMIT! so if he could do that, he is GOD! :lol:

I was hoping Obama would win.

Although I was sceptical early in the day. Like most Americans, say they will vote for Obama, but then no, so they don't look racist.

But I guess that did not happen.

Yes, his speech was quite convincing and also on that note quite visionary, looks like he's gonna be the next John F. Kennedy.

hopefully not for his sake.... (we all know what happened to JFK)

yep, a good win. I was unsure whether Obama would get in cos you just dont know with the US people, but he seems like a strong leader and a good listener. He's got a hell of a job ahead of him though. Only time will tell if he can have a positive effect on the GFC
