Subaru Liberty 2005 Spec B Suspension + Exhaust

Postby specb_liberty » Sun Oct 16, 2016 11:09 am

Hello, I just would like to know if it's okay to put lowered pedders springs in my spec b and leave the bilstein shocks in it or do I need new shocks for the lowered springs. It will only drop the suspension about 4 cm. Also I would like to know if anyone has the ultrex twin tip muffler for their spec b with the rest of the exhaust stock and how it sounds. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can use those springs on the Bilstein, its not ideal but its do'able

and for the ultrex check the exhaust threads with people who uploaded videos to hear how they sound

Also after how many km do the bilstein shocks need to be replaced, the car is driven on good roads. If they do need replacement I may as well get coilovers such as BC BR which I heard are good?

It's more how hard they've worked rather than just km driven.
Pedders can check them for you.
Mine have done nearly 250,000km. Backs are still ok, front left is getting a bit noisy.
I did have heavy duty springs installed in the back about a year ago, which raised the height a bit, as the originals had sagged, and I regularly tow a car trailer which pushes the back down.
