Anyone orederd from Japan Parts?

Postby Adsman01 » Tue Sep 27, 2016 12:18 pm

Hi Guys
Just wondering if anyone here has ordered from Japan Parts and if so is there a risk of paying any taxes or import duties etc.
I've priced a set of Enkei Wheels at just over 2k.
If I end up getting smashed with taxes I won't bother?

I've bought from them many times but never spent that much in one go.

Fairly sure that anything over $1k that comes into the country you have to pay import tax/duties on

Yeah I suspected that. It all seemed a little too good to be true.
I'll find out what the tax is.. Have my heart set on these wheels and they are pretty steep in AUS, and impossible go purchase from anyone other than a dealer.
Not interested in copies either so I guess I'll end up having go cough up in the end

The tax is 15% of the total cost of the rims in AUD and the shipping cost.

As an example if it costs you $2500 to get the rims here, the tax will be $375.

Cheers Guys!
Yeah I found a tax calculator and the wheels+shipping and taxes its approx $3100. So that's virtually the exact price you'd get the wheels here brand new.
Oh well
