Fuel price apps for trip planning?

Postby GT-B Spec R Pilot » Sun Sep 18, 2016 5:12 pm

Just wondering what people are using for checking on fuel prices when planning long trips?
Petrol Spy is my go to app for fuel pricing in and around town, but its a bit of a pain for a long trip. I am looking for something that I can enter a start point and end point and have the app tell me the cheapest fuel stations selling 98 along the way or within a certain distance off the route. As and example, a Canberra - Brisbane run, knowing what the prices are at petrol stations within 10km from the highway (either pacific or new england) in the towns along the route means I can plan in advance where to stop for fuel and a coffee/food break.

Check out an app called Gas Buddy. I've found it quite useful for picking stations around Brisbane.

Thanks. That seems to do the same thing that Petrol Spy does, cheapest prices at service stations nearby. To use these apps on a trip is a pain. You literally have to scroll the entire route on the map to see what is cheap along the way. I want the app to do that for me!
