Personal opinons needed

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Personal opinons needed

Hi, i've looked at an '09 3.0r-b wagon 6spd MT and i just wanted a little extra nudge from a few people who know their car stuff.

It's got considerably low amount of K's on it (72xxx) compared to the MY05's i've been looking at.
Other than the cosmetic facelift, is there much difference between a MY09 and a MY05?

Which do you prefer?

Thanks, Kieran.

SI Drive gives better options for tuning later on down the track, and a tune is definitely worth grabbing as you can really improve the 3.0 with it.

09 should have dual electric seats and rear vents too.

And I only replied because we have the same first name

MY09 has an R180 rear differential with Torsen rear LSD
MY05 to MY06 had the R160 rear differential with viscous LSD

MY09 also had a different part number Centre Differential, which is more expensive than the earlier part number.
Ultimately, the transmission code would reveal the full make up of the gearbox and power train.

Definitely, the MY09 is the more desirable vehicle.
