Shaheenis wrote:Hey Adam, car is looking good. I had also thought about getting the front strut brace but do you have a heavier duty swaybar on the front? I think you are saying you have.

Also with the tail light tint, is it possible to do it in two pieces or would it be too hard to join the line with the shrink factor?

Hey mate!
Yeah I've got a white line sway on front and back. So not super heavy duty but heavier than stock.

I thought about doing the tint In 2 pieces but it'd be hard to get the join perfect. It would would be possible though.

I was looking at getting http://www.koya.com.au/cars/sf01-18%E2% ... ustom-fit/ and for them to fit over Brembos they said I'd they'd have to machine them to +32.
I think the way they do custom offsets is they are basically all the same blank that they machine the hub mounting surface but the spoke design stays the same.

Interesting. I havent had any issues with mine, then again Im not running Brembo's

So in other news... today was the day i finally got my car tuned after the new short block went in. Ive been driving it around under 3000rpm for 4 months now!!
The car made 216.5wkw on 18psi. Which is a slight power gain on the old engine with 1psi less boost. The old engine was 212wkw on 19psi.

As you could imagine those 4wkw can not be felt on the bum dyno, but its just nice to have a bit of power again. I havent really had a chance to stretch its legs yet as its double demerits in NSW this week. But in a few days ill give it a squirt on a street that i used to do with the old engine and see how it compares.

Finally installed my brake cylinder stopper today.
It definitely does what it claims. Brake pedal travel has been reduced by about 40% I'd say. Obviously no improvement in braking, but gives you a bit more feel I guess.

The hunt for some mag wheels has been a frustrating one!!
Can not find any wheels i like in 19" other than the Rays 57xtreme. Why does nobody make 19's anymore!?!?
I found a place that does a really nice copy of the 57xtreme's (Konig), but theyre American and none of the Australian distributors have these wheels in stock, and they all claim Konig doesn't do back orders and they aren't sure if they'll be making them again. Even Konig themselves wont answer my emails :(

So it looks like the only way i can get my dream wheels is to buy the genuine Rays... much harder to get past my bank manager!!

Especially because its not as simple as just buying the wheels.. its shipping as theyre japanese + shipping to sydney + centre caps + wheel nuts!!

I came across this same problem. It was bad enough trying to find the right offset and size for 18's let alone 19's. Unless you dig real deep into your pocket it's a tough call. Particularly when it's THAT style you are looking for.
Cheers

I'm looking for rims at the moment too, and fitting brembos under them is a right pain in the ass.

Import monster have the matte grey for sale... not the look im going for on a grey car.
Im dealing with import monster and another importer at the moment... theyre saying the silver colour is discontinued. f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck!!!!!

This has been the most deflating process ive ever been through. Ive looked through all Japanese wheel manufacturers, all replicas, all the other brands that bob jane, tempe etc sell... there is absolutely nothing I like in a 19".

There are plenty of wheels I like in 18"... but I going 19's or nothing haha
