I also cracked the shits with the old Tilton scavenge pump and replaced it with a VDO one. The old one was LOUD, and was leaking about 500ml of oil every 3-4 days. It also smoked on startup a shit load. The VDO pump is quiet, doesn't leak, and doesn't blow smoke, so I am over the moon. I can also hear my stereo again due to the lack of constant pump drone.
