Mr Ryan wrote:So I've started doing a bit of digging and came up with a blouch LGT-380XT thinking this might do the trick!!

In terms of fueling what would I be looking at to upgrade... Fuel Pump, lines and injectors.?

And if anyone has ideas for upgrading the cooling please let me know! I'm undecided as to stay top mount or go front mount I would like it to still look stock...My mate is running a process west top mounting his wrexy and he is good for 240kw Or so?

At the risk of sounding exactly like Matt:

380 is too small - waste of money for you. GT2871 as a minimum; I'd pick a GT3071 or even a 3076. For a proper fun car, a GT3576 :)

DW300c would be the easiest, best bang for buck pump. Injectors - ID1000s. Lines are fine. FPR- don't really need an aftermarket one.

There are Subies making 350kwatw with the PW tmic or even a Greddy. My own PW tmic made close to that, and I don't even have cams or ported heads. On a 300kw lib, all you'd be losing to the FMIC is about 10-15kw, but at the cost of slightly slower boost response. Either would be fine for your goals.

You don't need an FPR true, but at $100, given you're fiddling with the fuelling system, I'd give it a bit more pressure to get you a bit more headroom - which might be needed if you go with a massive turbo and E85

IThe reason alexei and I basically agree (within the margin of error for agreement on car forums) is because this has all been done before - best to learn from what's been done before, and adapt it to suit your particular situation.

Fuel pump /injectors is easy - grab a 340LPH (if going e85) or a 265 (if going 98) in the form of a DW300c/DW65c or a kobe motorsports pump, and a set of ID1000s. Add a sard FPR, and your stock lines and rails will be fine (replace it where it needs it when you install the injectors though).

PW top mount will do you perfectly well, and is easy to install, or you can go front mount - front mount will be cheaper, but more expensive/difficult to install, so it's a trade off.

since when is a FMIC cheaper than a top mount? if you're talking about crappy cx racing or hybrid or something then maybe but you gotta compare apples with apples here. the process west unit is the best TMIC on the market. A plazmaman core alone will set you back around $1k.

why are you guys recommending those dinosaur turbos? you gotta at least go with the GTX series. GTX3071r or GTX3076r

"dinosaur turbos"! Soz Ryan, I meant the newest model of the Garrett, but cbf typing GTX every time (I thought most places only sell the GTX now anyway?).

I like your colour coded highlighting haha. Green is good, red is bad?

Was going to comment about the FMIC thing, but got too into reading about bar/plate vs tube/fin that P'man use, and it just ended up being a "balancing act between cooling and airflow restriction within the core". In general - it is possible to get a decent eBay FMIC, but you'd want to make sure that it has turbulators as a minimum...

Also want to make a sad point that the Sti PW tmic makes more power over the liberty PW tmic, because of the better ratio of tubes... there's always something better sadly :'( Perhaps the best way to mod is to stick with bang for buck?

This would be a great setup. Another awesome turbo for the street (which you can get plenty of power of) is the Gtx2867r. Very quick spool on 2.5.
