Anyone here own a Jeep Cherokee?

Postby Jiyujin » Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:14 pm

Hey all,

I was wondering what the 2000/2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Wagons were like as I'm thinking of picking one up for some off-road/beach activity. Any feedback is appreciated.

Cheers!

Did a 4 week course with a guy that absolutely swore by his.
There's a guy that has one on my street and they sound soooo good on full song.
Other than that, I can't help you but be prepared to deal with Jeep quirks because they have their fair share.

Apparently all jeep headlights are both blinding and unadjustable and the vehicle will drive only in the right hand lane either 3kph over or under the speed limit.

My FIL has a MY04 Grand Cherokee diesel.

It has been relatively reliable (only really used to tow a caravan and never off road) except for electrical gremlins and the caravan ripped the towbar off the "chassis".

Its rated at 3200kg towing capacity but the towbar may as well be held on with self tappers, there is nothing substantial to bolt it to. Personally, I thinks its pretty poor to drive.

Apparently Buddah has a Jeep. That's enough to put me off the brand for life.

Ditto Mitsubishi Pajero
No matter how fast you are going, there is always a Pajero that just has to get past you.
Something in the name?

You know we love you really Buddah - but if we don't give you shit, you start to wonder if your deodorant is failing. :)
