With your level of mechanical understanding I'd be getting a second opinion, no offence intended.
You could even try a bottle of Subaru injector cleaner on a full tank.
A tank of eg Shell 98, noted for its somewhat aggressive detergent additives...
You and a mate with some mechanical aptitude could even remove your injectors, get them cleaned/serviced for around $30 each and reinstall, heaps of how-to's online... Assuming that's the issue: symptoms?
