Just bought a 2007 GT spec B - with some questions

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated. It is to the left of centre in the tacho bezel. It must be for the upshift on the manual models. I noted today that it comes in at different RPM (between 2500 and 3500) not that I took too much notice as I rev it out a little more than 3500!

It is such a great car. I am so impressed but wouldn't mind the STi suspension now

If it's in Intelligent mode and you're impressed, switch it over to S# and go

I have tried it a few times in S# It is a bit scary compared to my Tarago

I couldn't get used to the difference in dbw throttle ramps in the stock tune, so I got matts tune adjusted so the SI drive controller favors boost levels over dbw. I mode: Gate (8psi) S: 12psi S#: 15psi

Otherwise, get the car going in I mode, shift into second, start flooring it, then press the S+ button on the steering wheel, it will beep when armed.
Firm up your grip on the wheel as the car takes off. Third should be just as much fun.

If the car stumbles, check for leaks etc, get a learning view and or clean the maf, reset ECU and try again after driving it gently for 30min

I couldn't drive S# on factory tune. I found the throttle way to touchy and constantly over revving especially on take offs and pretty much all the time.

I got Matt to reduce the response a bit so it is closer to S mode for response but just a bit more. Heaps better. I drive in S mode 90% of the time. I feel like I am punishing it if I drive in S# as it goes so hard .

Well, doesn't time fly when you're having fun

I had it all checked out with a full replacement service of all fluids and oils by Ryan here in Ipswich (nice bloke and very helpful) and he noted a couple of other things - rear pads need replacing (I'll do that) and the CV boot was just starting to crack and leak. I had the whole CV replaced today as it has 150,000 km on clock clock.

I had Matt from KiDo tuning perform his magic today. What a really nice bloke and very helpful. It goes much better now and I am amazed at the "night and day" difference in all of the modes. Very impressed even when it is in "I" mode!. Thanks again to all for the suggestions and recommendations.

the VF52 will keep going all the way to redline.

Thanks ferret. I get it now. I did notice it pushes through to 6500rpm Very nicely. Can't wait for the tune. Why does the triangular light on the instruments flash on at 3500 rpm?

This is an upshift light when you're in 'i' mode. Telling you when to upshift to achieve maximum fuel economy. Naturally autos don't have this feature. I'm not sure why you're using 'i' mode, even after a tune it's pretty boring!

Thanks, I normally drive it in s or s# but it is the wife's care and she normally drives it in "I" I must say though it has allot more pick up in "I" than before. It is so mush nicer to drive now.
