Finally bought a Liberty.

Hi all,

Figured I may as well say hi. Mid last year I bought myself a 2011 WRX as a daily driver and have loved every second of driving it. I was looking at a Gen V GT wagon to replace my previous car (previous car was a Legnum VR4 but was written off by a P-Plate Commodore driver, I only had the car 4 months) but couldn't find any in my price range.

My girlfriend got an auto licence but is now on her full licence and wanted to learn manual but is paranoid she'll break my car so I did the only thing I could do, bought her a manual Liberty :D. I just bought a 2003 Gen3 RX sedan for her to learn in, looked tidy enough and the price was right. I'm located in Ballarat VIC bit keen to catch up with some other Liberty owners.

My first Subaru was an MY03 Liberty RX.
Loved the way it drove and just did things. Great touring car.
Only downside was that damned dual mass flywheel (which squealed like a dying cat) and the weakness the SOHC EJ25 had for oil leaks from the head gaskets.

Cheers guys, the is in great nick, save for some paint missing off the front bumper and a small dent in the roof, it even has a full stainless exhaust! :D The gearlinkage was very sloppy, a new uni joint thingy fixed that though, swinging a hammer at a car is strangely rewarding
