welcome.
my car had the same issue with the stereo when i bought it. Diagnosed as a faulty underseat amp. I had this replaced as part of the sale deal. So all good.
sometimes these come up for sale as members replace the stereos. you might get one cheap that works

Welcome Luke. Looks like you had some very nice rides mate. The Liberty's are truly a different breed though. But in a good way. So much to learn here. Plus there is untapped power in your car to unleash

yea the wife wont allow that! and i do miss them but the ride in the Liberty is so smooth i love it! miss the sound of the stroker on start up in the mornings but my neighbours dont!

as for the stereo i ripped out the amp it had a blown fuse inside so we replaced it and soldered it back on but still not working so i am trying to find the sat nav bezel locally first but will more than likely order it from jdm http://www.avojdm.com/product_info.php? ... cts_id=109 and then put in a double din with bluetooth and be done with it!

Apparently there isn't enough room for a double din unit in the sat nav location.
You need the double din and aircond control replacement panel to fully replace the factory head unit

Yea i see its a massive stuff around, considering the jdm double din is now $250 i will just get it and mount where the existing stereo is and modify cubby for sat nav or tablet.

Cool to see another Lib owner on the GC.
Sucks about the stereo, my mcintosh has issues too. Theres a buzz/hum whenever theres no music playing, ie sitting on Aux mode. Doesn't REALLY bother me at though, only a minor issue.
