Postby dwee. » Thu Jun 04, 2015 11:09 am

Hi all,

I WTB either a VF46 or VF52 Turbo to go on my '09 Forester XT.

Let me know via PM if you have a decent one up for grabs.

Cheers,

Pete.

Didn't know that was an option. Aren't they twin scroll?

Looking for an OEM style turbo as I've got the Mishimoto TMIC with the OEM style turbo flange.

Not sure if they are twin scroll or not. But I have seen it done on a late model Foz like yours with excellent results. Sorry I also meant VF34 not VF38.

I've got a brand new VF46, still in the original box, sitting at a mate's place in Brisbane. It was a part number mix up that owes me AU$2000. If you want it $1000. Brand new, not remanufactured.

Thats fair enough. Would a Bouch 380xt be a suitable match for the foz?

Thanks mate, I will let you know. I'm pulling off the TD04 this weekend.

VF52 is a great turbo and I prefer that but either turbo is suitable for my needs - mid range power.

Also looking at a BNR TD05-16G.. But it will mean I will have to get a PW TMIC and sell my Mishimoto TMIC. :(

Go with the turbo that requires the least amount of work but the greatest gains you are looking for. VF52 or 46 sounds like the ones you are aiming for as a direct bolt on, minimal fuss turbo.
