I've got 08 STI and I hear the factory tune is terrible.

Would love it if someone could share what benefits they've gotten just from a tune.

Cheers

Happy to load on a tune for you and see for yourself. Dont like it, flash in old tune and no charge.

This is just Matt giving his tunes a confident nudge and you'll find he will have the backing of the owners of every car he's worked on. Take the plunge and find out what your car was meant to drive like

Matt - can you please confirm if afr# 3 trims (+50/-50) were zeroed out on my blended sd defs?

Trying to isolate the oscillating idle (and 25L/100kms fuel consumption) which has been there since this setup was completed. As you may recall my ecu has always targeted high 13's / low 14:1 in CL which we discussed a couple of times and always put down to the id2000's.

Want to rule out rear 02 corrections for certainty (particularly since decatting)

Thanks

Mick

If it's as good as everyone says I can't imagine any would. Definitely good marketing not that Matt needed any more.

Yes, 2 have asked to go back. One the car was too quick and would lose his licence for ever(kept tune, enabled a 130kph throttle limiter instead) and one SG Forester which broke into wheelspin... with a 60yr old female owner(who went back to the air pump delete tune, 3 weeks later she came back for power as it turns out her factory geolanders were rock hard, replaced with some Pirelli's and no more issues)

Let me check and email you this week. Log AF#3 in RomRaider will confirm. Minimum injector pulse width is my thoughts on why though.

Thanks

Ipw wouldn't keep targetting 13 afr's. Would be hunting to go back to 14.7 and pull fuel if ipw was out. But maybe you're right

Would be great to put it to bed and potentially explain a few other things.

Minimum injector pulse, the minimum amount of pulsewidth that the ECU provides at idle. Over 4 times the original size of injectors would definitely make it a candidate for the issue.

Quick questions about the flex tune on a my08 manual 3RB.

Are there any trade offs compared to the straight 98 tune?
Fuel economy on 98?
Power drop on 98 on the flex tune compared to the straight 98 tune?

Anything else to consider? Or is the flex tune the best of both worlds?

There is one servo locally that does e85, but most of the time my car will be fed 95/98 due to the fact that I go all over the place where e85 is not readily available...

I think it's all about hwb's fourth point here. With the right mods and tuning you can see a substantial increase in interest from the lady types. Just check some of the graphs posted around here. For some 'members' Matt has netted a vast improvment in HP (hot poontang) but we all know everyone is really looking to score more Nm (Nymphomaniacs).

Of course ipw changes idle - but my point is this is as close to good as possible here. But worth checking out
