My battery got disconnected during an insurance repair (dunno why), and I found my original Whereis bootdisc (v12) is snapped.

Will this allow me to get around needing the original disc?

No, unfortunately. The original disc is still needed after battery disconnect. We then insert this updated map disc.

That would be most appreciated! However, is there nowhere I can download it and burn it myself?

If not, how do you want to do this? I'm based in Brisbane.

I doubt you'll find a 7 year old Map disc available for download. And most importantly, has to be an original Subaru one. The map upgrade discs are more generic (the current latest v20 one is a Toyota disc, but works fine). But none of the Map discs others have ever downloaded contain the original Subaru software.

Alternatively, get an original disc from the dealer lol. Then they could share and have the latest Software&Map disc in one...until v21 comes out.

Gen5s need C2 version Maps. Most Gen 4s use C1 version Maps. So even though the Map data is the same (v20 being the latest), the format is different.

Following the website provided in the original post, it seems these maps arent suitable for a 2013 Outback Premium?
It also appears they dont have maps that even suit, can anyone steer me in the direction of finding maps that do suit this model?
