Right rear lights not working

Postby Nikko » Thu Apr 30, 2015 6:26 am

Hey guys, has some people do some work on my number recently and they haven't plugged in my right rear lights again. I can't seem to find the cable though, where does it run? Car is 07 liberty. Thanks.

The rear number plate lights?

Pop off the plastic clips holding the carpet on the trunk lid, reach inside and see if the cable is loose/disconnected.

You may have to use feel-around-technology to orient the plug and connect it, or if you are flexible enough you may be able to lift the trunk lid and see your fingers through the clear plastic where the light shines through.

When you're done, put the carpet back and snap the clips back on.

If you're referring to the taillights, similar process - pop the clips on the covers behind the taillights in the boot, pull them back and the plugs of the taillights will be visibly exposed thusly:

Are you sure you're not talking about the plug that goes to the non-existent rear fog light?

Yep. My whole bank isn't working, brake reverse and indicator, I've got an empty female in there.

lol...

Just find one of the existing plugs and follow it back to the rest of the loom. Alternatively, pull all the plastic clips out and remove the carpet altogether to find where everything is. Alternatively again, take your car back to who did the work and have them fix their mistake.

Thankyou very much for sticking with me but I've now found the thing. Can't believe mechanics miss such obvious things, I found it 10 minutes down the road from the shop but couldn't go back.
