K&N or HKS panel filter?

Hi guys,

Are these filters essentially the same?! Want to upgrade my filter for a tiny performace increase wondering which one to get? Any pros or Cons? Any thoughts? Thanks!

There will be no performance increase between either HKS/K&N or an OEM one. HKS doesn't have rubber to seal perfectly, and K&N uses oil, so if over-oiled (it's over-oiled out of the box for some reason) can get oil onto your MAF. So HKS could use extra sealing and K&N may need to stand out to dry for a bit..

Cosworth air filters are good if you want a freer flowing filter that doesn't use oil. As above though, unless you have an upgraded turbo or have 200kw+, your OEM filter is not a restriction, hence no real benefits...

Sounds like I'm wasting my money on a filter at this early stage, better to put it towards a dump pipe or TMIC.
