Thanks Adam, I hope so too. Looking forward to having consistent power with this TMIC. Be interesting what kind of additional power I end up getting post tune too.
Cheers

You're lucky you're getting the tune amended so quickly!
I don't remember what power your car made before, but id guess you'd pick up 10kW on a VF46... but that's really just a guess?

Ive never really gotten it dynoed, but estimate based on others similar mods and outputs that I currently have about 155-160 atw now with the little VF46. So another 10kw atw would be nice and I reckon I'll leave it at that.

You have a TBE don't you?
If so you'd have closer to 170-180 I reckon.

Yes I do have a full TBE. I mentioned the 170 number to be realistic and modest. haha.

If it's more than that I will be stoked.

You and me both Bryce. I am realistic though so even if I get more consistent power at full operating temps, I'll be happy. But an increase in power or should I say mainly torque is what Im after. The cooler days are settling in too so I should at least be able to take advantage of some nice dense cold air when I go hills driving.

Well the Mishimoto TMIC is now fitted and the car is retuned to suit. See below

Matt working his magic fitting the TMIC

dummy fitting the unit

ALL BOLTED IN READY TO ROLL

Took Matt literally 10mins to remove and replace the TMIC, and that was with some mild persuasion for the new unit to fit with the metal mount. But no cutting or modifications required for the unit to fit.

There will be some wriggling to get the RHS long brace to fit into the standard mount. But it can be done if done with care. I watched Matt the whole time and I never felt like there was any compromise with the fitting process. Once the unit was fitted, Matt spend 5 minutes bringing up my previous tune and tweaking it to suit the new TMIC. Once loaded, we went on our way. At first taking it easy in S mode. Immediately I could feel more torque and less pedal required to get the car moving. Drove to Glenelg and back but couldnt find a spot to floor it due to heavy traffic. Got to the lights at Harbortown near the airport and had option to try it in S#. Flicked the gear stick on manual mode. Really put the foot into it and was met with a rush of torque at low rpm and I hadnt even gotten thru all the gears before I knew it I needed to back off before the fixed speed camera, which is about roughly 300-400m in front of the lights. Overall, Im am stoked with the additional performance of the TMIC. Ambient temps were mid to high 20's. So when the temps drop in winter or at night for that matter, I expect more perkiness. The gear shifts are a bit smoother again too. Smoother than they were before.

Big thumbs up for Matt fitting the unit in super speed and his tune to get the car moving awesomely. Matt estimates with his computer plugged in than I should be pushing about 183kw at the wheels now. The car came up with zero faults, no knocking or any other negative signs. He also reckons I should see good gains with an Eflex adjusted tune with what mods I have too. Hmm... thinking about it.
Cheers
