What are you talking about? All the energy should be spent in the combustion chamber if what you are saying is so ie crank energy. What has that got to do with after the bang headers choice noise reduction

Its like playing a flute. Same amount of air, totally different note out the end depending on when the throttle, intake cam and exhaust cam open. Same reason why an engine can sound bad when the timing belt is off one tooth.

I gave the interior and engine bay a bit of a scrub on the weekend… I didn’t like the look of the liberty engine without the engine cover when i got the new cooler, but it’s really growing on me now. I’ve decided I don’t want to cut my stock engine cover up like some of us have done, I’m going to try and source a WRX/STI pulley cover… plenty of wreckers with the them :D

But it's a lot better than it used to be.

Yeah that's a good idea! Although most people are happy to chop up their engine covers. Grimmspeed and Perrin make nice ones but they're not cheap for a bit of sheet metal....

You may be right. I'm waiting to see what the wreckers want for a wrx one... if they're anywhere near 75-100 then I'll buy an aftermarket one.

The wreckers claimed they don't take them off the engine... this was after I tried to explain what it was to him... I don't think he knows what I wanted. Anyway, i guess its time to look into aftermarket ones :D
