Mte to be honnest.. I never really looked into another Sat Nav besides tomtom.

Only reason is becasue I have been highly recommened to get the tomtom by quite alot of people.

So I had purchased the TomTom Go 910. Mate she runs like a dream and goes goods :) does anything and everything you want it to do.

From Fixed Red Light Cams to Speed Cams to both Speed & Red Light Cams, Maccas, Bunnings, Red Roster, Public Toilers, All the big servos (e.g Shell, BP, Caltex etc..)

Does most of them with some addons which we can hook you up with once you purahce it :)

As for the Garmin, I had seen one in action in a mates work ute, and didnt appeal to me.

Your choice tho mate..

But myself & moz have TomTom Go 910 (i think I talked him into getting the 910 as he has the 710 and took it back, becasue it did not have voice for the street names, turn offs etc.. as well as some other awsome features)

Also Frankie has a TomTom but a later model, but has the addons and all the features now :D

Cheers

P.S
Fire away on any questions reguarding the TomTom GO 910 if you want mate, we can answer them :D

Hey thanks a lot mate. I have to agree that the 910 is extremely user friendly and the ease of use is out of question. Just wondering what kind of addons and 'all' the featusre does it have? 8)

The addons dont come with the TomTom.. but they are on a secrete location lol!

Most of them are points of intrestes;
* Public Toilets (goods for long trips when u gotta go u can find it quickly)
* Food places
* Movies, Theme Parks etc.. etc..
* Servos
* Speed Cams, Both Red Light & Speed Cams (note they are only fixed ones)
* Buddies (u can find ur friends that have tomtom's)

And heaps more.. i will post them tomorrow as a bigger list.

Go to a place as ask them if you can test it out etc.. goes really goods mate, go theu all the options etc..

U can connect ur mobile as bluetooth (providing it supports it) and it can send and recvice phone calls as well as read sms's to you, help prevent accidents :) and safe driving hehe

I've got the Garmin Nuvi 310, great unit, it has blue tooth phone connectivity so I use it as the handsfree in the car. Very accurate and easy to use, I loaned it to my mum the other week and even se had no problem using it!

Hey TomTom 910 is the way to go! So easy to use and if TomTom come out with any new feature you're sure to be abel to add it to the 910 with it's massive memory.

LI8ITY I haven't been able to get it reading messages to me or the Buddy system going yet. How do you do it?

I got mine through a mate at cost plus interest free (which works out to be about 9%) for 1080.

Sounds like 1020 is around cost to me.

If it was me id be getting one that fits into that din pocket above the stereo.

That to me would be ideal.

Not a fan of the windscreen ones as you have to continually hide it in your glove box everytime you leave your car unattended.*

*that is if you want to come back and still have your drivers window intact and GPS still in cradle
