Parking Sensors

Hi Everyone,

I bought my first Subaru about 3 weeks ago a MY08 3.0R Spec B with the 6 speed in it, I love my car so far and have many plans to do modifications but have a few little things
I'd like to sort out first.

My rear bumper has seen better days, it's not terrible but I like to take care of every minor thing I possibly can, so I was looking to replace my bumper and a wrecker I know has
a bumper in the right colour that looks brand new, however it has factory parking sensors on it.

My questions to you fine Liberty lovers is, are the factory sensors a plug and play item? Will I find a plug in the bumper or boot to plug the sensors into?

I know a lot of cars do have all the wiring done for these sorts of things and was wondering if the Liberty is one of these vehicles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

08MY Liberty never came from the factory with reverse sensor's.

100% aftermarket one's will be in the one the wreaker has.

Not able to repair current one?

The bumper is very deeply gouged in some places which would require a fair bit of touching up, the car is dark grey and it's not the most obvious of problems
but because I know it is there I won't rest until I've done something about it.

So you could never order a Gen 4 Liberty from a dealership with parking sensors?

No, there have been sensors on MY08s and MY09s, just not many of them around. Must've been an option that wasn't chosen.. I've seen a few that have sensors and look very factory.
