But you never know as the liberty's have a smaller scoop so may not get the same result as wrx's.
I'm wondering if the stock fuel pump and injectors will still be OK for those mods...
How much does the valve body mod cost?

I would have assumed bigger pump and injectors if you run E85

Well, the verti-cooler is no longer happening :(
Process West were unable to fit the core under the liberty bonnet without making the core too small.

Process West said to get one to work would mean a complete redesign, and potentially making it wider than the WRX verticooler, but that could block the air from the scoop getting down to the turbo. So basically i dont think any of us should hold our breath for a verticooler.

So, its the normal version 1 process west top mount for me.

Oh bugga. Sorry to hear mate. But also thanks for investigating it for us. At least we know up front. Hate to buy one of these and find out it doesn't fit.

Thanks Shav.
Im glad we found out before it was too late, but its such a shame we wont be able to put them in our Liberty's as they definitely perform much better than the other top mounts.

I guess we can just hope that Process West decide to develop one for our cars one day.

It will come down to supply vs demand. We would all need to want one for the to consider the development of them. In the mean time we'll have to settle for their flat version kits http://www.prospeedracing.com.au/produc ... eries.html

or consider the mishimoto ones http://www.prospeedracing.com.au/produc ... cl%29.html

I dont know much about the moshimoto ones, but i know MSR has always said the process west top mounts were the best for liberty's... but he may have been talking about fitment, as he doesnt like the fitment of the perrin and some others.

I too have heard the Perrins can be a little problematic to fit. The PW ones looks more complete as a kit. The bigger shroud would certainly help, thats fore sure.

I've had both designs on my lib and can say with confidence the PW works like magic compared to the AVO/Mishimoto/Perrin (although a bit bigger)... etc etc etc design

Looks like ProcessWest really take the time to develop something that works well, rather than just rip off a simplistic bolt on design like so many others.

Without any measuring equipment on my part - the PW TM just feels so cold even after hard driving compared to the Avo design, that always seemed to get warmer more quickly when pushed. Could be something to do with the fact that the AVO/mishi bolt straight onto the turbo - for some metal-thin gasket-metal heat transfer...

Sorry to hear about the verti-cooler Adam. Their standard design is still fantastic. Hopefully you won't even notice the difference :)

I forgot you had the PW cooler Alexei!
I remember you telling me how great your cooler was... i guess ill find out now ;-)
I know its stupid, but i was really looking forward to the extra power the verti-coolers make over stock... am i right in saying the older style of PW top mount doesnt make any extra power?

And its ridiculous as i never open my bonnet for anyone but myself, but god those verti-coolers look epic!!

It's awesome dude, check this out. Courtesy of Cynner (Kim's) profile thread:

The only problem I have with my PWTM, is that my turbo is pushing so much air that the pressure drop is a sizeable restriction when compared to the PW FMIC. On the vf52 and 98ron it would be much less of a problem. Hence why I highly doubt you'd notice the difference between the old and new designs (on your setup).

Wow! That's really surprising!
That's not much different to the verticooler. Thanks for finding that Alexei. You've restored my excitement for getting the cooler now haha
That coupled with the UEL headers and now the cold air intake I've decided to go with, I might end up with a nice little boost in power and torque. Although UEL don't add much to peak power, the add a good punch to the mid range :D

well I was just reading that UEL headers actually increase peak power, not mid range. I had it back to front!
I thought you had headers ryan? If not... you won't buy some
