Post FL Gen4 headlights

What is the little chrome panel in the bottom inner corner of the post FL gen4 headlights? It's absent from the preFL Gen4 and also early MY07's. Something to do with the self-levelling Xenon's on the up-spec models?

They are water jets that pop out and and clean the headlights,
