Contiki Europe 2009!

Postby Mano™ » Sun Sep 07, 2008 8:42 pm

Might head back over next year, maybe around April/May? this time might do a Contiki trip, few mates have done it, would be fun :)

Thinking of doing either;
Ultimate European - Greek Island (45 days)
OR
Ultimate European - Egypt (45 days)

Anyone thinking about it? or keen for it? :)

i'm planning on going around late feb for about 45 days, will be using my frequent flyer points. I think April/May too late for me, I don't want to miss Man U vs Liverpool match.

Yeah it's looking pretty good.. yeah group discounts do happen.. have a look on www.contiki.com.au there is all the country info etc.. on there :) depending which one you take on of course..

I wouldn't mind in going to dubai as well, that would be pretty awesome!

It was cheaper to go from Syd to Dubai then Dubai to London (for like $600) then it was to go from Syd to London! haha work that out?? lol!

mate Dubai is amazing.... aside from the man made islands and awesome architecture....... the cars those bastards have will keep more then entertained..... its allot more fun then boring London....

head to the dunes to see kids in 1200 hp Nissan patrols driving up 45º dunes  they also have a few private tracks outside of Abu Dhabi where you can hired "any" car for a few laps..... well worth it, a sandy track can be fun.

btw finding a drink over there can be a little hard and don't piss the locals off cause they will flog you  , they like to make examples from westerns that cause trouble
.

but yea... if its cheaper to go via dubai... and we can get group discounts on the airfare... great!

don't really know about how much leave i can get off though, have about 1.5 months accrued at the moment. but should be ok by the time we leave if it goes ahead.

would love to go with you over to europe but im planing on going over to europe in 2010 for 10 weeks starting in late june or early july
One of my mates has been on contiki tours he said that they are awesome but after about 2-3 weeks you start to get bored with the people on the tour cos this was the one i was initialy looking at going on but instead have decided to go on 4 contiki tours with about of time in between tours to do things that i want (which include.............The Nurburgring and the porsche factory :D )
just my 2 cents
