What do you want to achieve? 15mm lower? 25mm lower? 100mm lower?

What is your car? We know it's from 2009, but is it a 2.5i, a GT, a GT Spec.B, a 3.0R-B, a TbSTI, something else (was the a 2.0R still in 2009?)? Is it a sedan or a wagon? Knowing where you're starting from will help - STI pink springs for example have a known ride height, and would lower most of the listed cars, but obviously not a TbSTI (given they came with STI pinks stock).

Actually I'm looking into doing that too.

I have a 2008 2.5i sedan, i was thinking of going king springs which claim to drop your car by 3cm.

I was considering getting Sti pink springs, can anyone tell me how much that'd lower my car?

my 3rd option was elbach springs but again not too sure what the height difference would be

cheers

Use the google this forum link in my sig to find what others here have done.
Some of the Na 4cyls are lighter at the front so springs for Gt b, h6 may not work to the same degree.
So use spring mfg specific info/applications for your model or go by relevant local example.
Putting lowering springs on clapped out struts: it's a backwards step.
As is compromising a chassis with already limited suspension travel.
So look for the very best solution available regardless.
If wagon on sedan springs: rear height can be tweaked with saggy butt spacers...
Prova make model specific lowering springs available via import monster or http://www.jessestreeter.com , just one example.
If your struts are +100k consider new struts too.
Here's a start:
https://www.google.com.au/search?biw=32 ... oic0&pbx=1

https://www.google.com.au/search?biw=32 ... wering+2.0

Or submit your na car for Shockworks development and enjoy the most capable handling with a 1 finger arch gap :)

Let us know the results of your research :)

Is your 2008 Lib a Gen 4 or Gen 5? If Gen 4, Eibach no longer make springs to suit this generation. I've tried looking. Gen 5 yes.

2008 is definitely 4Gen.

AN MY09 (as per the OP) is in theoretically a 4Gen (as the first 5Gens, although they shipped in 2009, were MY10 designation).

Sorry to hijack the thread...somewhat related to the subject.

Looking for some advise, impulse buy and I chucked on at set of XXR527 with stretched tyres on my Gen 5.
Now i'm not loving the stretch tyres look too much because of the larger wheel gap, so I'm leaning towards lowering it.

With the Gen 5 Bilstein shocks, I'm thinking either Eibach or STI springs.
1. The shocks has 83,000 kms is it worth putting in new springs or it's going to kill the shocks?
2. So i'm looking at Eibach 7722.140 Pro-Kit but for STI springs can anyone help me out with a part number or place to purchase? (New to the scene).

Search this forum for a member who has successfully lowered their 2.5i.
Read my post above for tips.
Eg you may need to mix n match kings, on custom valved dampers like coyote did back in the day when he had a postfl wagon. Or buy eg PROVA for 2.5i application. Or search. I did:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6735&hilit=+loco%2A

But just buy a set of Shockworks ;)

What I'm getting at is suspension is a very important aspect of the safety and control of the car.
You can go straight to the best solution with Shockworks, bypassing unecessary mods like sways and bracing, which immediately makes up some of the price differential.
When you sell the car, its value will be enhanced, or if you part the Shockworks they will actually still be worth something.

If you have to go lowering springs - carefully research it, as its a bunch of bandaid solutions and only a few have done it really sucessfully.

I wouldnt see pedders personally. That are super expensive. Fine if you want to get them to check out your car, but they are known to price very high.

Choose your Pedders by recommendation or reputation, often its down to the management of individual shops... as always: caveat emptor.
